Beam & block flooring
Both Poundfield Precast & Allen Concrete manufacture high quality concrete beam and block floors for both residential and commercial properties. Our beams are made from a precision steel mould using pre-stressed steel wires covered in a bespoke concrete design to give a high quality product. Choose from two depths of 150mm or 225mm and we can cut to 25mm increments for quick delivery. Our flooring systems carry the CE Mark Accreditation British Standard EN 15037-1:2008.
Inverted prestressed ‘T’ shaped concrete beams
Inverted prestressed ‘T’ shaped concrete beams are laid down with standard concrete blocks between them providing an immediate working platform –beam & block floors provide good sound and thermal insulation and eliminate any problems caused by ground movement or sloped land. In comparison to timber beams, they offer a longer span and are also maintenance free – unaffected by cold and wet weather. They are also draughtproof, damp proof and fire resistant.
Our are made from a precision steel mould using pre-stressed steel wires covered in a bespoke concrete design to give a high quality product, this process enables Poundfield to have a superior finish to other suppliers known as Wet-Cast finish or A-Grade.

Allen Concrete carry the CE Mark accreditation British standard EN 15037-1:2005.

Standard lengths & bespoke beams
Allen Concrete stock concrete beams in the following lengths: 3m, 3.6m, 4.2m and 4.8m. These lengths will cover the majority of requirements for small projects such as house extensions and offer a quick, simple and cost-effective option for customers that don’t need full technical drawings or already have them.
